At The Jade Event Center all retainer deposits are non refundable. If the Jade should cancel for any reason, we will refund all money over the non refundable deposit within 90 days. (A retainer deposit reserves and locks in your date. We do not refund retainer deposits because another event could have been booked in that space. An Incidental deposit is in case anything is broken , damaged, provided you don't leave on time, you don't clean up after yourselves, etc. It's a measure of venue safety)
If the event is cancelled by renter, Ten percent of what has been paid over the Non Refundable deposit will be returned to renter within 90 days. 
Act of God clause is enacted when a weather condition arises that is out of natural control (snow storm, ice storm, tornado, flash flooding) where the event may be rescheduled without penalty provided the venue and vendors have not set up and delivered their goods or services and fulfilled their obligations contractually. Should there be a power outage due to natural causes The Jade Event Center is not responsible for vendor reimbursement. The renter may cancel with reimbursement of 10 percent minus non refundable deposit. They may reschedule to an alternate date available within 3 months. If there is a Reschedule due to customer convenience, you are allowed to reschedule with a rescheduling fee. If you change your theme or colors you will be responsible for paying associated vendor fees and prop item fees.
